Statement on Lawsuit

Video on Counseling Censorship

Since Brian Tingley filed a lawsuit [2021] to protect his First Amendment rights, and the rights of Family Foundations' clients, we have been inundated with many messages about the case. Some have been supportive, while others are disrespectful and offensive. We are not able to respond to every person who has contacted us or written about FFC. However, below are a few brief responses.

General Public

Many of the messages we've received or have read about have shown that there is a lot of misunderstanding and misinformation about the case. Please don’t believe everything you read or hear. Instead, find reputable sources of information about the case, review them, and make an informed judgment. For example, you can find out about the case at https://adflegal.org/case/tingley-v-ferguson

To
Those with
Disparaging Messages

When people disagree, they should do so civilly. That is the mark of a healthy and free society. And while people should always strive to treat each other with politeness and consideration, and speak in ways reflecting that, we at Family Foundations will always affirm one’s right to freely speak. We ask for, expect, and advocate for that same freedom.

Some people are intolerant of the beliefs we hold at Family Foundations – beliefs shared by many Jews, Muslims, Christians, and nonreligious people in this country and throughout the world. It is our mission at Family Foundations to treat everyone with respect and we wish others would do the same. Please contact Family Foundations with any questions or concerns.
